Josephine Leshao’s life is a journey of pain, survival, and incredible strength. As a young girl in Kenya, she was married off to a man with several wives. Stripped of her childhood, she was left to live in rejection and silence, often sleeping on the floor while her husband shared his bed with others.

Her suffering deepened when her husband infected her with HIV. Later, she was diagnosed with eye cancer, leading to 15 surgeries that left her scarred but alive. Through it all, Josephine refused to let despair define her. She chose to rise, carrying her scars not as marks of shame but as proof of her resilience.
